Privacy Policy

The bills, saved groups, and preferences you create are held in your browser's local storage on your own device. That includes the names you type, the items and amounts, and your currency and theme choices.

None of it is ever uploaded to us. We have no database of bills, and no way to read yours.

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people open, so we know whether the product is useful. It sets cookies in your browser and shares standard technical information with Google — your approximate location from your IP address, your device and browser, and which pages you viewed.

It never receives the contents of a bill. Names, items, amounts, balances and share links stay in your browser and are never sent to Google or to us. Analytics runs only on the live site, and any browser setting, extension or tracking protection that blocks it leaves the app fully working.

Receipt recognition runs entirely on your device. The image is processed locally and is never sent to any server — ours or anyone else's.

A shared bill is compressed into the link's fragment — the part after the # that browsers never send to a server. Scanning or opening it rebuilds the bill locally on the receiving device.

No copy is stored by us, and the fragment is cleared from the address bar as soon as it has been read. Treat a share link like the bill itself: anyone who has it can open a copy.

Aggregate traffic — how many people opened the site, from roughly where, on what kind of device. That is the whole picture. We cannot see your bills, your people, your amounts or your share links, because they never leave your browser. Our hosting provider also keeps the ordinary server logs every web server keeps, to serve the site securely.

You can export your data at any time as CSV or JSON, and clearing your browser storage removes it permanently. There is nothing for us to delete on your behalf, and no request you need to make — we hold nothing of yours.

To opt out of analytics, use your browser's tracking protection, an ad blocker, or Google's own opt-out extension. Nothing in the app depends on it.
